Safety Considerations
It should be always remembered that robots are first and foremost powerful industrial machines. Even as we focus in this book specifically on collaborative robots, which have been designed with a strong emphasis on safety, many use-cases can lead to potentially hazardous situations. Sharp tools, rotating elements, processes that can eject debris at high speed are all easy oversights even if the robot is not moving in any particularly dangerous manner. Common sense should always apply but does not replace local regulations, so always be on the safe side and consult with relevant bodies beforehand.
